And this shall be the plague with which the LORD will strike all the peoples that wage war against Jerusalem: their flesh will rot while they are still standing on their feet, their eyes will rot in their sockets, and their tongues will rot in their mouths. Zechariah 14:12
But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed. 2 Peter 3:10
When he opened the sixth seal, I looked, and behold, there was a great earthquake, and the sun became black as sackcloth, the full moon became like blood, and the stars of the sky fell to the earth as the fig tree sheds its winter fruit when shaken by a gale. The sky vanished like a scroll that is being rolled up, and every mountain and island was removed from its place. Revelation 6:12-14
The second angel blew his trumpet, and something like a great mountain, burning with fire, was thrown into the sea, and a third of the sea became blood. 9 A third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed. 10 The third angel blew his trumpet, and a great star fell from heaven, blazing like a torch, and it fell on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water. Revelation 8:8-10
The Prayer That Changed My Life
I recently felt compelled to share this personal message in the above video ‘short.’ I cannot imagine what my life would have been without coming to know Jesus Christ as my Savior and Lord. I’m grateful beyond words that some godly coworkers were praying for me all those years ago. And that the Holy Spirit nudged and softened my heart.
Do you have a family member, friend, or neighbor that has not yet trusted in Jesus? Pray. Pray. Pray. And then pray more. The Lord has placed them in your life for a reason.
Possibly you are the bridge or conduit to their finally understanding our desperate need for a relationship with Him.
Possibly you are the one who will ‘plant a seed’ that the Holy Spirit will use another to ‘harvest’ in years to come. Ask the Lord to soften hearts and grant an opportunity to share the gospel with them. What a privilege.
Thank You
And as we approach Thanksgiving Day, a special word of thanks to those of you who have supported our family and our ministry during the past four (plus!) decades. The Lord has been abundantly gracious and kind to us through many of you.
We sincerely believe we are living in unique times, with a multitude of reasons to conclude that the Lord’s return may be soon. With this in mind, we welcome your questions and comments. Our desire is to address them in this and other platforms.
We thank the Lord for you and hope we can be an encouragement to you as you live for Him.
Rejoicing in His Amazing Grace,
Teri and John (john@livetheword.org)
